"It's such a huge truth to how we operate and why the world is the way it is that it fundamentally changed the way I see everything, understanding how and why trauma influences us in such profound ways. One of the most profound learnings for me was acknowledging generational trauma and how deeply embedded our trauma responses are in how we operate. My favorite takeaway was the teaching that everything is practice - even the reactions or defense mechanisms we've always had are things we started practicing at a very young age. This makes me feel like anything is possible if I just start practicing new ways of being and moving through the world." -C.W. past student
