Hello Wonderful People,
Hope this note finds you in the best of spirits.
We are officially live for the Liberty Food Fest 2024!
We've got three days of incredible events this year, starting with Thursday night December 12th at the Hungry Diner with Joel Salatin, followed by a full slate of speakers on Friday and Saturday. The general theme for Friday is "Food", and the general theme for Saturday is "Freedom". Once again we'll be joined by national leaders Joel Salatin, Winona LaDuke, Craig Hickman and lots of amazing local farmers, chefs, and food advocates. Some incredible newcomers this year are Margo Baldwin founder of Chelsea Green Publishing, Pete Miller of Miller Farms, Harley Sterling who serves as School Nutrition Director of WNSU, Chef Jewelz of Jamaican Jewelz and Leigh Merinoff of Meadows Bee Farms. Returning speakers include John Klar, Cait and Chris Caserta.
We'll be hosting speaking events in the main theater of the Bellows Falls Opera House. In the basement will be a holiday market with live music as well as leading food and farm organizations tabling and local businesses selling crafts, books, clothes and of course- food!
Friday night we'll host a first look at a rough cut of the upcoming documentary The Right to Food which tells the story of the national movement for food sovereignty in America.
A huge thanks to our lead sponsor Meadows Bee Farm, as well as to the Inn at Walpole Valley, the Hungry Diner and the Bellows Falls Opera House!
It's going to be an unforgettable weekend.
Early bird tickets are 25% off and go on sale today.
See you there!
best thoughts,
Graham
