With a concert series straddling either side of our national elections, Social Band presents a program that contemplates the passage of time measured in centuries rather than months, days and hours. The title of the series is a quotation from the Henry Wadsworth Longfellow poem, "A Psalm of Life": "Let us then be up and doing, with a heart for any fate." We'll present our distinctive mix of choral music, from ancient tunes to new compositions along with a refreshing dose of poetry, robust harmony, and singing camaraderie.
