Saturday, November 2, at 4:00 pm the Choir of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church will sing Gabriel Fauré's Requiem in the context of a Requiem Eucharist offered in memory of All Faithful Departed. All are welcome to attend this special service to remember departed loved ones – those attending will have the opportunity to light a candle and share the names of those to be remembered. Fauré's Requiem will be sung in its liturgical context, as it was originally intended. The choir, soloists Wendy Taylor, soprano and Cole Marino, baritone, will be accompanied by six string players and organ. A freewill offering will be received for the Hurricane Relief Fund of Episcopal Relief and Development which is providing recovery assistance for those impacted by hurricanes in the Southern states.
