Rockingham Zoning Bylaw Modernization

Public Conversation Scheduled for Saturday, October 26th 11-1 Rockingham Free Public Library

The town of Rockingham and its villages were awarded a Bylaw Modernization Grant in 2023 to support local zoning bylaw updates aimed to enhance the production of affordable homes and create housing options in development-ready places, confront the State's housing crisis, and help communities become more equitable, energy-smart, and economically strong and attainable. These Bylaw Modernization Grants are awarded by the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) with funding appropriated by the legislature. The grant allowed the town to hire a consultant with expertise in bylaw writing and public outreach. On October 26th, the consultant will be holding a public discussion regarding potential zoning bylaw updates in the villages of Bellows Falls and Saxtons River. The discussion will be held from 11 am to 1 pm in the second-floor meeting room of the Rockingham Free Public Library.
