Curious about the history of Lake Champlain, shipwrecks, or the era of canal boats in our region? Join Lake Champlain Maritime Museum for a special free talk on Sunday, October 20 at 11 AM. Executive Director Chris Sabick will give a presentation on lesser-known canal boat shipwrecks in Lake Champlain and what the Museum's Research and Archaeology team has uncovered from these wrecks. After the talk, step into the Museum's newest exhibit, "Underwater Archaeology: Diving into the Stories of People and Canal Boats on Lake Champlain" for more canal boat archaeology.
This talk will be held in the auditorium of the Museum's Hoehl Family Education and Visitor Center. It will last approximately 30-45 minutes with time for Q&A afterwards. This event is free to attend, no registration required.
