Alyssa Rodriguez, a recent Fulbright scholar to Finland studying Nordic folk music, and graduate of the rigorous year-long music program at the Eric Sahlström Institute in Sweden, performs Swedish and Finnish music on the chromatic nyckelharpa. She plays fiddle with various bands including Irish punk-rock band Sisters of Murphy, swing jazz band The Gregory Street Vagabonds, and historic 19th century fiddle at the Genesee Village Country Museum in Mumford, New York. Her compositions have won numerous awards.
The workshop is $10 and the concert $15. Alyssa is an engaging and up-and-coming musician in the northeast, and is filled with great tunes and the stories behind them.
