Join us November 2, 2024, at 10 a.m. on the Statehouse Lawn for the Vermont Women's Rally, a sister event to the National Women's March. Our 2017 Rally was the largest in state history—let's come together again to show our strength and say: We will not go back! This Rally will be a celebration of Vermont's commitment to ensure equality for women and to recognize the power voters hold to fight for women's rights. Free parking in state lots.
Singer-songwriter Patti Casey will open the Rally.
Beverly Little Thunder and her daughter Lushanya Echeverria will speak together to honor the original Indigenous inhabitants with a land acknowledgement. Vermont Poet Laureate Bianca Stone will deliver a poem.
It is our hope that Senator Bernie Sanders, Senator Peter Welch, and Representative Becca Balint will address the gathering. Charity Clark, Vermont Attorney General; Jessica Barquist, Director of Planned Parenthood Vermont Action Fund; and Ann Pugh, retired State Representative and women's rights leader, will be speaking along with Kiah Morris, Kennedy Jansen, Christine Hallquist, and Jayna Ahsaf.
To close out the rally, singer-songwriters Dwight and Nicole will perform.
