Rev. John Feltz celebrates 5:00 pm Veterans' Day Mass at St. Pius X Church in Essex

Longtime pastor of St. Ann's in Milton, Father Feltz served with the Vermont Civil Air Patrol for 15 years before being invited to join the Army as a chaplain. He attended boot camp and went on to the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. He retired with the rank of colonel 17 years later.

Father Feltz was awarded the Legion of Merit by the Guard, the Bronze Star and Legion of Merit awards from the Army, as well as the Anchor and Father McGivney Chaplain of the Year awards from the Knights of Columbus.

Representatives from Josh's House will be present to discuss their services for veterans, current service members, and their families.
