Wednesday, October 30th, 2024 8:00 am – 4:00 pm at Join the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Vermont's Together for Mental Health Conference!
NAMI Vermont brings together communities to start conversations about mental health, promote prevention, and help people maintain their well-being. By having an open dialogue about mental health, we can raise awareness, build knowledge, and reduce stigma. This year our conference is focused on Mental Health for All, including a major focus on our youth's mental health.
This annual conference draws hundreds of mental health professionals, family members and peers together for education and networking on the latest in mental health research, best practices and treatment options, and to raise awareness to confront stigma that surrounds mental illness. We are confident it will be a day of learning, networking, and deep conversations.
Our agenda features the commissioner of the Department of Mental Health: Emily Hawes, Keynote Speaker Dave Melnick, LICSW and nine workshops with a lunch for making personal connections. Dave Melnick, LICSW is the Director of the Transforming Trauma Collaborative at the NFI Family Center. For the past 40 years, Dave has worked in a variety of clinical settings including outpatient, residential treatment, and in public and day treatment schools. Along with his focus on Developmental Trauma, Dave has expertise in family therapy, adolescence, attachment, Reflective Practices, and Trauma-Informed Systems. He will follow up his keynote presentation with workshops that delve deeper into actionable techniques and strategies to deploy that registrants can take back into their practice and daily lives.
Fee (includes lunch): $95 for NAMI Members, $125 for Non-Members and $95/each for Groups of 10+.
