A voter information and registration event where you can learn about the eligibility requirements to vote in Vermont, take the Voter's Oath and register to vote.

ID Requirements for Registration First
Time Online and Mail Registration
You must include a photocopy of an acceptable form of ID.

Acceptable forms of ID are:
• Valid photo ID (driver's license or passport)
OR
• Current utility bill
OR
• Current bank statement OR
• Another government document
The voter registration form requires your Vermont DMV-issued driver's license number or Personal ID number (VT PID#) or the last four digits of your Social Security number (SSN).

Important Dates

• Presidential Primary Election: March 5, 2024
• Statewide Major Primary Election: August 13, 2024
• General Election: November 5, 2024
• Early voting: Vermont allows for early voting in person. Voting starts as soon as ballots are available—not later than 45 days before the primary or general election and 20 days prior to a municipal election that uses the Australian ballot.
