This Wednesday, David Goodman, award-winning journalist, will open the Central Vermont OLLI (Osher Life-long Learning Institute) fall series,. He will discuss his lifetime in journalism, from covering Nelson Mandela and apartheid in South Africa, to exploring skiing in an era of climate change for the New York Times, to being "the godfather of Eastern backcountry skiing" as the Boston Globe calls him. He will also discuss the challenges facing journalism today.
The program will be held from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm at the Montpelier Senior Activity Center, 58 Barre St. in Montpelier.

Registration for the series of 11 programs is $40 per individual or $70 per couple (any two people), or $8 per program. Registration should be done online beforehand or by mail to UVM OLLI.
