In an emergency, what things would you wish you had? An emergency preparedness kit is a collection of supplies, documents, and information to help you and your family get through an emergency. A "go bag" is a simplified emergency kit that you can take with you if you need to evacuate your home.
Join with others to learn more about emergency preparedness kits at a workshop Friday January 31 at 1:00 - 2:00 PM at the Montpelier Senior Activity Center (MSAC) at 58 Barre Street. Sponsored by the Medical Reserve Corps, AARP Vermont, Montpelier Disaster Recovery Network (MoDRN), the Montpelier Commission for Recovery and Resilience, and MSAC, this event is part of a larger effort to get more prepared as a community. Community preparedness begins with individual preparedness. Participants in this workshop will begin putting together their own go bags and will be provided some limited supplies to do so.
