Do you like to fish or just gad about? Have you ever wanted to fish in exotic places for trophy fish on a fly rod? If so, the 2024 International Fly-Fishing Film Festival (IF4) offers you the opportunity to see what such adventures are like.

This Film Festival is being held at the Latchis Theatre in Brattleboro on Thursday, September 19. Doors open at 5:30 PM for buying raffle tickets and participating in a silent auction. The film starts at 6:30 PM.

The Connecticut River Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited will host this event, along with cosponsors the Deerfield River Chapter of Trout Unlimited, the Connecticut River Conservancy, and the Deerfield River Watershed Association. Proceeds from this event will go to the Deerfield River "Wild and Scenic River" Program Fund. This fund is dedicated to securing federal designation for the Deerfield River that would yield grant funds to local towns for protection and enhancement of the Deerfield River as it moves closer and closer to being designated as a Federal "Wild and Scenic River." Among the official selections in the festival are Pinawaca, a jungle adventure, led by popular angler and guide, Jako Lucas, in search of legendary and oversized peacock bass; Vivid Dreams, a breathtaking film about a group of friends in search of oversized sea-run brown trout in rugged landscapes; Tunulik, a northern adventure to Nunavik in Northern Quebec in search of trophy brook trout, arctic char and Atlantic salmon; … and many more.
