The AWARE Annual Walk is Saturday, September 14th at 9:00am at Atkins Field – and for every $100 in pledges you collect you will be entered to win $100 gift certificate from The Cork And Fork! If you would like to participate but are unable to walk, ask about our Designated Walkers — email Jerry at jschneider@vtlink.net for more information. There's still time to sign up!
This walk is approximately 7 miles round-trip. We will head through town and onto the Rail Trail — ending at Summersweet Gardens where we'll be met with luscious treats! You can plan to be picked up at Summersweet Gardens (about 1.5 hr. walk from Atkins) or make the round trip (approx. 3 hrs.) with the group back to Atkins field. We will have commemorative water bottles and a selection of t-shirts for you to choose from!
Another annual event, AWARE's Candlelight Vigil, will be happening on Thursday, September 19th at 7pm. This is an evening of remembering survivors and victims of domestic and sexual violence and will happen at Hardwick's Peace Park.
