“NORTHERN GODS AND FORESTS: MUSIC OF JEAN SIBELIUS”, A lecture led by Dr. William Cotte

The 19th Century "Romantic Era" gave rise to the 'nationalistic' movement in the Arts. Perhaps no other composer captured the essence of his 'nationalistic spirit' through his music than the great Finn, Jean Sibelius (1865-1957).
His 'tone-poems' and seven Symphonies "take us there" in ways that only such genius can do. This presentation will explore some of the highlights of these musical masterpieces in sight and sound. Come explore and adventure with us!
