Please accept my very sincere apologies to people who helped work on Wallingford Day activities and were inadvertently omitted from the last emails!
The Sparkle Barn has been a faithful and enthusiastic supporter of Wallingford Day since we brought it back, including some of the most colorful and imaginative pallets created by Stacy, the two summers we had to scale back the festivities due to Covid. Their scavenger hunt, with rhyming clues that took people on a tour of town highlights, and fun prizes, were a hit yet again. Thanks especially to Amy and Deanna for the work you put into that.

Elaina showed up at the park and made intricate balloon creations that dazzled us all, thank you and your assistants Rainbow and Lorenzo!
Invitation:
We will have one more meeting of the WD planning committee at 6:30pm at the Town Hall on Tuesday July 30th. We'll brainstorm, while it's still all fresh in our memories, about what worked this year, and what we might like to change or add next year. The group will review that information in January when we start planning Wallingford Day 2025. If you have ideas about this please come join us. If you can't make it to the meeting feel free to email wallingfordday@gmail.com to share your ideas and we'll read it in the meeting.
Keep in mind we're human and a lot of thought and work went into the event that's just concluded, so please try to keep your suggestions constructive rather than simply critical. For example, if you thought some aspect of the day wasn't engaging or accessible to people who wanted to do it, you could share your idea for how we could make it something that everyone could enjoy, or another activity that could replace or accompany it.
