The fundraiser for Rowan Dodge, the seven year old battling Wilm's Tumor (a kidney cancer that affects young children) for a second time is this Saturday, November 8th beginning at 5:00pm at Tanglewoods Restaurant.
The event is family oriented and will include music & dancing with the band Still Kickin', a silent auction, kids activities, and refreshments from both individual contributors as well as local restaurants (Michael's on the Hill, Aztlan Foods, Arvad's, Park Row Cafe, and Maggie's Kitchen with possibly a few more surprises).
Silent Auction items have been generously donated by local businesses. Some of the items you could bid on are; $25 gift certificates from Maxi's Restaurant, Pack & Send Plus, Sunflower Salon, and Sunflower Natural Foods. Other gift certificates & donations include; $50 Black Back Pub, $100 Blue Stone Restaurant, $40 Axel's Frame Shop, Lots-O-Balls mini golf passes, Large two topping pizza from Zachary’s, 3 month membership to Dave’s Community Gym, and a 1 month membership to CrossFit Waterbury. More items are being donated daily and will be announced later this week. To all individuals and businesses who have donated to this cause, I can’t thank you enough! Your commitment to Waterbury and the residents of Waterbury is appreciated more than you will know.
