This week only at the Savoy!
July 16, 17 and 18 at 7pm
Vermont filmmaker Jay Craven's latest film, Lost Nation, is a Revolutionary War era action/drama set in the budding Republic of Vermont. Lost Nation tells the parallel stories of Vermont's founding father and rebel plotter, Ethan Allen, and Lucy Terry Prince, whose poem, "Bars Fight," about the 1746 Deerfield Massacre is the first known work of African American literature. Focusing on themes of courage and determination without ignoring the uglier sides of bygone eras, Craven's 10th film sparks conversation and offers new angles on the past.
Jay Craven will join us after each screening to talk about the making of his film and to answer questions.
Tickets available online and at our box office July 16th, 17th and 18th: https://savoytheater.com/movies/lost-nation/
