In the wake of catastrophic flooding this week, Sunday's free Levitt AMP St. Johnsbury concert will be relocated from Dog Mountain to the Fenton Chester Arena. The concert, featuring soul/blues band Dwight & Nicole, will begin at 5pm.
Dog Mountain, Levitt AMP St. Johnsbury's primary music venue since 2017, requires extensive repairs to its campus following the floods.
Sunday's headliner Dwight & Nicole, with drummer Ezra Oklan, have released two records, "Electric Lights," and "Further," the latter of which was dubbed, "one of the best EPs to ever come out of the Green Mountain State," by the Burlington Free Press. Combining retro-soul grooves with powerhouse vocals, Dwight & Nicole are a musical force to be reckoned with, praised heartily by legends such as Mavis Staples, Melissa Etheridge, and Christina Aguilera.
Showtime is 5pm, on July 14th, at Fenton Chester Arena, in Lyndonville. Food and drink will be available for purchase as usual, but dogs are not allowed in the arena.
Sunday concerts are expected to return to Dog Mountain, weather permitting, on the 21st, but Fenton Chester will remain the designated severe weather location. Venue changes will always be announced at www.catamountarts.org and on Catamount Arts social media.
