Braiding softneck garlic with flowers is a fun and beautiful way to preserve both the harvest and beauty of high summer. Hung in a kitchen (for example) these works of art will nourish and cheer you through the cold dark winter.
Want to make your own?! Join Farmer/Owner Emily Hartz for a garlic braiding workshop. Emily will demonstrate how she makes a braid and then participants will get to make their own using beautiful Milkweed Farm flowers (10ish stems) and softneck garlic (12 bulbs). Children are welcome (with adult supervision). Please leave pets at home. This workshop will happen rain or shine.
Space is limited. Please email us or use the Contact Us form to register by July 31st if you'd like to attend. Workshop costs $45 which includes all materials (payable via paypal or upon arrival).
This event is part of Vermont Open Farms Week. To learn more about other fun and/or educational farm-y things happening around the state check out the Dig In Vermont website.
