On Wednesday, July 17 at 6 p.m., we will start our Authors at the Aldrich series with Sefakor Komabu-Pomeyie, a disability rights advocate from Ghana and currently based in Vermont. Her memoir, "I'm Able", speaks about her life experiences after losing her ability to walk from polio.
Go to the Farmer's Market in City Hall Park beforehand and then cross the street to the library to see Sefakor's talk at 6 p.m. for what should be an exciting and interesting start to our Authors series! Light refreshments will be served.
You can learn more about Sefakor and the rest of our authors at www.aldrichpubliclibrary.org/authors. The following week, July 24th, we will be joined by Barre local Alan Rubel to discuss his book "The Greatest Burden the Greatest Blessing: Caregiving Stories of Hope, Humility, and Love."
