COME PARADE WITH US!!!
The League of Women Votes is very excited to celebrate America's Birthday. We invite you to walk with us in the 2024 July 3rd Parade in Montpelier. Bring your friends and family members along
The Parade begins about 6pm following the Montpelier Mile race. We will meet at the line-up which starts around 5pm on Summer Street.
We have BANNERS, WINDSOCKS on long poles, and SIGNS to carry. Also, SUFFRAGETTE-STYLE HATS and "VOTE" SASHES to wear, and COWBELLS to ring! We have 17 neutral colored broad-brimmed hats for women (or you can make your own). Dress in your suffragist best - white shirt and white/black skirt for women. Men can wear white shirts and khaki/black pants (a bow tie would be great too). If costumes are not your thing, just wear white and march with us to promote a fair and healthy democracy!
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy.
Show your support for the League of Women Voters and join us for a FUN, exciting evening as we remind people of the long fight for women to get the vote and how important it is to make our voices heard!
