Did you know many, many volunteers have been busy ReWilding sections of Richmond's beautiful Rivershore? It takes a village to protect our floodplain forests, so they can take care of us by catching, absorbing and filtering floodwaters. Please join fellow ReWilding champs to tackle the invasive bindweed that has been spotted early in the Richmond Park/Volunteer's Green. It climbs rapidly and smothers native plants both small and tall, including newly planted trees in the park. Local weed wizard, Jon Kart will lead this fun pop-up project this Friday, 6/28 at 6pm for an hour or so. Bring work gloves, your favorite weeding tool and a friend.
