The Freedom Dreaming Creation Workshop is part of the MRV Libraries' Juneteenth event series designed for people of all ages to learn about and celebrate the Juneteenth holiday. This free workshop is ideal for teens and adults who want to explore their creative side.
Inspired by the book "Freedom Dreams, The Black Radical Imagination" by Robin D.G. Kelley, the Freedom Dreaming Creation workshop provides space to explore our relationships to the idea of freedom. Through conversation, activity, and artistic creation, we imagine environments that can exist beyond our current realities. For freedom dreaming, all you need is love and your imagination. The workshop is led by Interdisciplinary Artivist, Educator, and Warren resident janet e. dandridge.
Weather permitting, the workshop will take place outside at the Joslin Memorial Library park.
