Essex Catholic Community Remembers Deceased Veterans

You are invited to celebrate Memorial Day, Monday May 27th, at an 8:30 am Mass outdoors in the Holy Family Cemetery on Lincoln Street, Essex Junction. Mass will be celebrated by Father Charles Ranges, S.S.E.

The Post Communion Reflection will be offered by Thomas Middleton, a former Burlington Volunteer Firefighter and Medic, who served as a National Guard Combat Medic in Iraq.

Scout Troop # 332 will provide the Color Guard before and after Mass. These same scouts will decorate the nearly 300 veteran grave sites with new American flags the preceding Saturday.

The Knights of Columbus will provide refreshments after Mass in the cemetery. In case of inclement weather, Mass will be celebrated in the nearby Holy Family Church, and refreshments served in the Parish Community Center.

Please join us for this service. You need not be a member of the parish. All are welcome who wish to remember those who have served and are no longer with us.
