Join the community and Dr. Aubrey Carpenter for the first of five upcoming parent workshops at Richmond Community Kitchen! The first event will take place on Thursday May 30th from 7:30-9:00pm, and will include non-alcoholic drinks and dessert for $15/person or $25/couple. Make it a date night! The theme of this first event will be "Supporting Teens with Smartphone Use".
Licensed clinical psychologist Aubrey Carpenter, PhD, is the founder of It Takes A Village: Parenting Wellness Consulting and Psychotherapy, PLC, a new private practice focused on parenting wellness. During this event, she will provide an overview on recent data supporting delayed smartphone use (including discussion of Jonathan Haidt's latest book, "The Anxious Generation"), and engage parents in an educational workshop designed to prepare them for addressing this topic with their own children. Resources will be provided to bring home, and we will both have a good time and learn something too! Space is limited - visit www.ittakesavillagevermont.com/events to save your spot!
