Dr. Ally Legrand Hrindo joined the practice as co-owner this summer, with niche expertise in women's health issues and the perinatal/postpartum experience.

Dr. Carpenter and Dr. Legrand both provide initial consultations and short-term psychotherapy for identifying sources of stress, clarifying the steps parents can take to mitigate these stressors, and hopefully therein find more joy in the parenting experience.

Dr. Carpenter will also be offering local programming and parent workshops held at Richmond Community Kitchen. Dr. Carpenter will be joining the rest of the wonderful team at Richmond Wellness in June, located just across from Richmond Market. See website for more information! www.ittakesavillagevermont.com

Join us for a 1-hour hybrid in-person and virtual educational event during which we will host our colleague, board-certified sleep medicine clinical psychologist Dr. Pamela Swift, on Saturday March 8th from 1:00-2:00pm. This event is sponsored by It Takes A Village, a local psychology private practice focused on supporting parents and families. This event is $15 or pay what you can, including free of cost if that's what works best for you! Everyone deserves to have optimized sleep at such a critical stage of caregiving and we do not want cost to be a barrier.

This event will occur in the yoga studio at Richmond Wellness where space is limited, or there will be an option to attend virtually from home via Zoom. Dr. Swift will be remote but the yoga studio will be bedazzled with pillows and snacks so that those who want to gather can do so while hearing from Dr. Swift on the projector. There will be an option to connect and talk with clinical psychologist Dr. Aubrey Carpenter from 2:00-2:30 about our practice offerings for parents at every stage.

This is the unicorn of sleep events - Dr. Swift isn't your average sleep consultant. While she is a sought-after board-certified sleep medicine psychologist, she also tells us that she is the mother to two young children and thus has lived experience being tired. Come learn about the science of sleep during pregnancy and postpartum, and how to optimize sleep to minimize risk of postpartum mental health struggles. This is not to miss!
