Have you ever wondered "What is Freemasonry?"
The Mt Mansfield Masonic Lodge will be holding a public Open House on Saturday, October 18th from 9AM to 1PM. The Open House will include information about Freemasonry, a history exhibit of the lodge building, and information on other masonic organizations such as the Scottish Rite, York Rite, and Order of the Eastern Star. There are organizations for youth, for men and women, there are organizations that you have heard of and organizations that you might not have.
Mt Mansfield Lodge supports many local organizations, including the Essex Center-Jericho-Underhill Food Shelf, the Cambridge Food Shelf, Jericho Town Meeting Luncheon, Boy Scouts, High School Scholarships, Ronald McDonald House, Hope Lodge, Jeri-Hill Seniors, and more.
There is so much that gets talked about on shows related to the history of Freemasonry and what the Masonic fraternity stands for. There are three types of information that are often included in these shows: Facts, like George Washington was a mason, Myths, like there is a secret masonic treasure hidden in the world, and information that is put out in some movies that makes you scratch your head and say “Huh?”
If you have ever wondered about Freemasonry, now is your chance to get your questions answered.
Mt Mansfield Masonic Lodge is located at 64 VT Route 15 (across the street from the Jericho Town Hall). The Open House will run from 9AM to 1PM. If you have any questions, please contact David Schuler, Worshipful Master, at schuld@mtmansfield.org.
