Families, seniors, young people, and everyone in between is sure to enjoy a concert with Carol Hausner and Jonathan "Doc" Kaplan on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the Aldrich Public Library's first floor reading room. The concert, in memory of longtime Friends of the Library President Christine Litchfield, will feature acoustic roots, folk and original songs.
Vermont musicians Carol and Doc have been playing together for a decade. Carol, a heartfelt singer and award-winning songwriter, is steeped in traditional and contemporary bluegrass and folk music. Her voice has been described as pure and dynamic. Doc is a versatile, classically trained pianist. His joyful and energetic piano playing and resonant vocals meld seamlessly with Carol's voice and guitar. Carol and Doc perform throughout Vermont and beyond.
Free and open to all with refreshments to be served afterward, the Friends hope that people will make a day of it in Barre May 4. Relax after Green Up Day activities by attending the library concert at 2 pm, gallery openings at Studio Place Arts at 4 pm, and the Senior Center gala at the Elks at 5:30.
