Hello Neighbors!
Public Philosophy Week begins Sunday, April 14th and runs through Sunday, April 20th. Public Philosophy Week is an annual event hosted by the Philosophy Department at the University of Vermont and facilitates a series of causal, conversational and "philosophical" discussions on a variety of topics. Events are in public spaces and can be found all over the state and cover a variety of topics. Please check out the schedule here for more information: https://www.publicphilosophyweek.org/

On Tuesday, April 16th at 6:00 pm I will be hosting a conversation at the Pierson Library on the topic of climate change. I have been teaching courses on the philosophy, ethics and science of climate change for several years and invite anyone interested in thinking and talking together about this issue to join me and others at the Pierson library. Here's a direct link to the blurb: https://www.publicphilosophyweek.org/2024-events/philosophical-considerations-amidst-climate-chaos

I would encourage you to check out any of the events that sparks your interest. It is a great event and a great way to connect with all sorts of interesting people. And I hope you will join me at the Pierson on Tuesday night at 6!
