Bring the whole family to a kid-centered forest exploration! Join Women & Our Woods (WOW-VT) for an exciting adventure discovering the vital miniature ecosystem of vernal pools. In this workshop, you and your family will have a chance to explore moss-covered logs, tree stumps, and the famous vernal pools that are critical habitats to countless organisms. From amphibian eggs to insect larvae to fungal communities, this day will undoubtedly be fruitful with discoveries no matter what we find. Our leaders will guide us on how to care for these important places and teach us interesting facts about them.
