Dummerston Historical Society open this Sunday, April 7, 1-3 pm
Featuring Dummerston landscape painter Rodrica Tilley
Be among the first to preview a stunning new exhibit featuring the works of pastel landscape painter, Rodrica Tilley, a Dummerston resident. Although the Opening Reception will be April 21 at the Historical Society's quarterly meeting, you are invited to visit this Sunday, April 7, before it gets busy and perhaps even bring your guests whom might be heading to Vermont for the eclipse. The Historical Society's schoolhouse is adjacent to the Town Office in Dummerston Center.
Rodrica is a pastel painter with a background in freelance illustration. Her work is colorful and hopeful and focused on the landscape. While she does work in her studio, much of the work is en plein air. "I love to stand out in a field and make a painting that expresses my feelings and reactions to that time and place." Come visit and view a selection of her paintings from her Fifty State Plein Air Painting project as well as garden works.
Admission is fee. You do not need to be a member to attend. The Schoolhouse is handicapped accessible. Hope to see you! Questions: Gail at 802-254-9311.
