You are invited to join us for a dramatic choral experience for Good Friday, "We Were There" with words and music by Pepper Choplin and presented by members and friends of the UCCM. Inspired by the spiritual Were You There, this musical experience is based on several monologues by those who were on the scene at the cross of Calvary. The work leads through many emotions: from Devotional Love of Jesus' disciple, John to the Holy Love shown to Mary Magdalene, to the intimacy of Mother Mary, to the fear and trembling of those who were there. It will provide you with a powerful experience for Holy Week. All are welcome.
