I have been a Nurse at Central Vermont Medical Center for 26 years. Last summer, we formed a union at CVMC to improve our working conditions and the quality of care we provide to our community!
Now, we are working hard to bargain a contract that makes CVMC a better place for employees and community members. We are pushing for:
Safer staffing
Robust training programs in each department
Measures to retain experienced staff
We can't keep losing nurses and techs due to healthcare worker burnout. We need the support of administration to maintain a healthy and thriving workforce. Sadly, administration is moving slower than we hoped for, and some of their proposals suggest making our work conditions worse.
We are asking our community to help us put pressure on the administration by coming to our Rally for a Fair Contract & Quality Patient Care – this Saturday, March 23rd (12-1pm at City Hall Park in Barre). Make sure to WEAR RED!
Can you make it? RSVP here.
With gratitude for your support,
The CVHU Bargaining Team
