Cassie Horner gave a wonderful presentation of her book, "Lucy E." It was fascinating to learn about her connection to Lucy, the research to resurrect the facts about her life and the creative process to tie it all together. Lucy's story provided insights into the struggles and hardships of life in the 1800's and left us with an admiration for her indomitable courage- a true feminist of her day!.

Our next book will be "Orphan Trail" by Christina Kline. Some have already read the book but felt that it was worth another read. It comes highly recommended by several people, as well as reviewers. We will meet on Thursday, Nov. the 6th- 6:30 at the Community Center for discussion. All are welcome, whether you read the book or just want to listen to some friendly repartee! This is an informal group- no obligations, no rules of procedure, no reports, no critiques...just sharing of thoughts and ideas. Join us, won't you?
