Howard Center's Marna and Stephen Wise Tulin Spring Community Education Series presents its first session, "Mental Health is Community Health," on March 27, 2024, from 6:30-8:00 p.m., at Dealer .com in Burlington.

Dr. Simha Ravven, Howard Center's Chief Medical Officer, will offer perspectives on mental health treatment and services within our community, including Vermont mental health law, voluntary and involuntary psychiatric treatment in inpatient and hospital settings; mandated, community treatment; and the limits of voluntary treatment. The session will also include a discussion about creating collaborative community responses that balance individual rights with community safety, followed by a Q&A.
