Location: Old Labor Hall, 46 Granite Street, Barre.
Candidates running for all contested races in Washington County State Senate will participate in this forum moderated by Susan Clark, Middlesex Town Meeting Moderator and author of Slow Democracy.
The evening’s format will include questions posed by the League and written questions accepted from the audience. Volunteers will screen, sort, and consolidate questions which will be presented by the moderator. Each candidate will address the audience and there will be time before and after the presentations for the public to talk to the candidates. This is a good opportunity for voters to meet the candidates and hear their views, priorities, and positions.
The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan civic organization, is a trusted voice of reason and civility in local, state, and national communities. The League encourages informed and active participation in government and neither supports nor opposes any political party or candidate.
