Hi Unlikely Riders!
We are hosting our February Community Ski and Ride Day at Magic Mountain on Sunday, February 25th, 2024 and we hope that you'll join us!
Our Monthly Community Ski and Ride Days are gatherings of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Color) Vermonters for a day of skiing, riding, sharing a meal, and enjoying time on the mountain together. We are grateful to Unlikely Riders Carolyn Gilbert and Naomi Parekh for their support with coordinating this event!
We will be present at 10am with tickets for folks, with a community welcome at 10:30am at a set meeting location at the base of Magic Mountain (TBA!). A limited number of spots for introductory ski and ride lessons are available, these lessons will be from 11am-1pm. Group ski and rides, independent skiing/riding, relaxing and hanging out together, all of these are options with loose structure provided from 11am-1pm. Lunch will be from 1-2pm.
For this event, we are prioritizing folks from Southern and Central Vermont for lessons, however all Unlikely Riders are welcome to register.
Folks can continue to snow slide until the lifts close at 4pm.
Participants 18+ are welcome to sign-up for this event. All participants must sign a waiver - we will be emailing waivers to sign electronically ahead of time. Event will take place outdoors: masks are highly recommended for whenever inside (bathrooms, gearing up, etc.).
