We are excited to announce a community-led effort to establish a food buying club in Arlington!
When: Wednesday, February 19th 5:30 pm
Where: Arlington Community House – 3854 VT Rt. 7A – Arlington, VT 05250
A buying club is a group of Friends, families and neighbors who join forces to purchase fresh, high-quality ingredients directly from farmers and food distributors. By buying bulk, members enjoy lower prices and access to a wide variety of fresh, hard-to-find and specialty products. Unlike a CSA (community supported agriculture) a buying club isn't run by a farmer and does not require weekly commitments, giving members more flexibility while supporting local and regional food systems. Members collaborate to manage tasks such as collecting payments, placing orders, unloading deliveries, and dividing items using their own containers. This is a wonderful way to save money, enjoy the freshest foods, lower our use of packaging, and build connections in our community.
Please join us on Wednesday, February 19th at 5:30 at the Arlington Community House. This is a time to share ideas, ask questions, and connect with others. Bring a dish to share and join us for a relaxed, engaging conversation about how we can make this club a reality.
