I wanted to make sure that all interested folks saw this announcement sent by the school on Friday about a Planning Meeting for Athletics this Tuesday at 5:30 in the Common Room, see below. This will be an important opportunity to discuss, learn, and plan for the future development of Craftsbury Athletics for our students. Thanks, and Go Chargers!

CRAFTSBURY ACADEMY ANNOUNCEMENT 

WHO: Craftsbury School Parents

WHAT: There have been concerns voiced over the last couple of years about providing our students with solid athletic experiences. Craftsbury parents have shared that they want athletic teams that encourage their student athlete's development and do not overstretch them or discourage them from participating in athletics by putting them on teams where they have to play up too often or are competing against teams that are older and more numerous. Recently, we have sent students to Hazen with a member-to-member agreement because we had too few students to field a team. Once the students have been included on these teams they have had very positive experiences. However, the current process to help these students get on to a team poses both challenges and opportunities. This meeting will focus on how we can make this process more predictable for the students and families while also looking for ways to provide more stability to our sports teams and create a better playing experience for our student-athletes.
