The Town of Barre Planning Commission will hold a meeting on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Barre Town Municipal Building.

Discussion with Jeff Olesky from Catamount Consulting Engineers (on behalf of Jay Carr) to discuss amending the town Zoning Bylaw for changing the zone of property located at 6 Tanglewood Drive. Property owned by the Jay Benton Carr Revocable Living Trust; Zoned Low Density Residential; Parcel ID: 006/095.01.

Request is to change the property from LOW density to HIGH density zoning. The property is currently zoned as "low density". The low density currently restricts the size of the development as there is not enough road frontage to build the road access needed into the property. If the zoning is changed to high density, this will change the road frontage requirements, allowing the property owner to build two road access points, one off of West Cobble Hill Rd , the other off of Tanglewood Drive. The rezoning will allow up to 5 units per acre. This is a 19.5 acre lot.
