Aikido and the Way of Harmony at Aikido of Champlain Valley 257 Pine Street Burlington
Free workshop for Youth (ages 7-12). Parents are welcome to watch or join. Discover the dynamic, flowing martial art of aikido. Learn how the circular martial art of aikido teaches peaceful conflict resolution, confidence, strength and flexibility in an inclusive and non-competitive atmosphere. The blending movements of Aikido emphasize throws and joint locks rather than strikes and kicks. This workshop will introduce the basic movements of aikido, the art of falling, and games. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and be prepared to move! Adults and teens are also welcome to attend the Adult workshop on Tuesday, January 16th at 6pm.
