Cabot Community Theater is seeking enthusiastic actors for our spring 2024 production: Anne of Green Gables! We need kids, teens, and adults for parts both large and small in this delightful play, based on the beloved book by L.M. Montgomery. There are over 30 speaking roles (including some great parts for older women!), and non-speaking ensemble parts are also possible. Some roles (Anne and a few others) will be divided up so that more young people can have an opportunity to have a lead role, and make the memorization and rehearsal commitment more manageable.

Auditions will be held on January 7 (Sunday) and 13 (Saturday) from 1-5pm in the Cabot School Performing Arts Center, located behind the main school building at 25 Common Rd. No appointment needed, just come ready to read from the script, and to stay for 30-40 minutes to read with various people. If you're not a good sight-reader, or just wish to do so, you may prepare a short monologue (memorized or not) if you feel that will demonstrate your acting skills better. You can also request to see pages of the script ahead of time, in order to prepare. If you want a non-speaking part, we still want you to come to auditions, so we can meet you and chat a bit.

Rehearsals will mostly be on weekend afternoons, with some weekday rehearsals for larger parts in late afternoons or early evenings. Most people will have 1 or 2 rehearsals a week; schedule will depend on cast availability, so please bring your schedule with you so you can let us know any conflicts you may have! Performances will be May 2-5, in CSPAC.

We are an ardently inclusive theater company, and have flexibility in our casting in terms of age and gender, to offer performing opportunities to as many participants as possible. Casting decisions are made without consideration of race or disability, and anyone may audition for any gender character. Everyone is welcome, whether you're from Cabot or a nearby town. Make it a family activity! Get your best friend to do it with you!
