Readsboro glass artists Mary Angus and Bill LeQuier will host their 40th annual Holiday Open Studio Sale, Dec 16-17, from 10am to 5pm. Visitors are invited to the studio to see Angus and LeQuier's beautiful hand blown glass, enjoy a cup of hot mulled cider and join the artists in celebrating the holiday season and 40 years of creating glass art in their Readsboro studio. In 1983, just weeks before Christmas, they fired up their furnaces for the first time and invited all their neighbors in to see their new studio.
To celebrate the Glasswork's 40th anniversary, there is free drawing this weekend that all visitors can enter to win a Glass Snowflake ornament or a set of Glass Candy Canes.
Angus and LeQuier will have a unique collection of hand blown glass for sale, including perfume bottles and ring holders, bud vases in translucent jewel tones, and colorful hand-made glass candy cane and icicle ornaments. Also available are their glass snowflake ornaments, intricately sandblast carved in clear glass.
Readsboro Glassworks is located at 6954 Main Street, Route 100, (lower level) in Readsboro, Vermont. Call (802) 423-7706 or visit maryangusglass.com for information. The studio is also open additional hours by appointment through December 23.
