Next week - Cold Climate Heat Pump sessions - Thursday, September 25, 7 pm, Charlotte Library

Come hear about cold climate heat pumps, a new technology, that can save you money on your heating and cooling bills and reduce your dependence on fossil fuels.

Bill Kallock, Charlotte Energy Committee, will share a homeowner's perspective of living with an air-source heat pump. He'll be showing heating performance data from his new house over the past two winters so that we can see that the technology does work at subzero temperatures.

Mark Boudreau who opened his home to us for Charlotte's Green Homes Open House in 2012 will be share his experience with a recent retrofit of his home including the installation of cold climate heat pumps.

Gary Barnett will talk about using a heat pump for his hot water system. He's installed one in his own home which has been working well over the past four seasons.

Presentations and discussion, Thursday, September 25 from 7 pm to 8:30 pm at the Charlotte Library, Ferry Road.

Organized jointly by the Charlotte Energy Committee and the Charlotte Library.
