This Friday and Saturday, please join us in creating a temporary art installation that will be displayed on the Main Street fence in St. Johnsbury. Catamount Arts is excited to be partnering with Rural Edge, St. Johnsbury Community Hub, Chrysalis Creative, and Discover St. Johnsbury. It will be installed in time for First Night North on New Year Eve.

This year, we are creating garlands using upcycled fabric. The garlands will feature pieces of fabric decorated by community members. We will have supplies at the St J Hub and the Welcome Center- fabric markers, paint, etc. We invite you to draw, write, and paint some wishes and hopeful sentiments for the New Year on pieces of fabric, and tie your fabric on the garland strand!

We will be set up at the Welcome Center and St J Hub from 5-8pm on Friday, and 10am-2pm on Saturday.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated fabric, and for the St J Hubsters who spent hours prepping all the fabric for garland making! The Hub and Chrysalis Creative prepped a combined total of about 1000 pieces of fabric that are being distributed to area schools and ready for this weekend to be made into garlands. Wow!
