Joanne and I have scheduled a meeting to answer questions, and hopefully get some answers from you that will help solve the current high price tags, ownership costs, and longevity of ownership plaguing the landscape in the home market.
Were it not for some technical difficulties Joanne would have posted this:
Well, the last few weeks have been quite a ride in Stowe town events. Many large and difficult topics are simmering (boiling) all over our beautiful town. It is all scary stuff, but necessary and ultimately amazing. Add in the excitement of Opening Day, it's almost too much to take. While I love a good Rabble-Rousing (and guilty of many), I am also ready for something concrete. For those that have read my many other FPF posts, you know that my focus has been on affordable homeownership for folks that make Stowe run like the well oiled machine that it is. Join me and my partner, JW, for a Q&A session if these words ring true for you ~ affordable home ownership, community, legacy, neighbors-helping-neighbors, net zero footprint, sustainability and security. JW has proposed a housing project that has gained momentum to take place in Stowe with all of these factors at the forefront of it. In this housing market, these things seem unattainable for many. Stowe needs a more secure, permanent housing base. If we don't do something soon, homesteaders will become extinct.
JW will be on the hook for something to eat and drink. This space is definitely kid and pet friendly, so please bring them along (it'll give me someone to play with) RSVP if possible, so I can order enough wine and beer (or vodka?). Email or text/call me at (802) 272-2164. Look forward to seeing what we can make happen. Stay tuned for virtual meeting info. I just need to decide on a platform (to put my soap box on). I am not ready to go the way of the dinosaurs, are you??
