After a year hiatus, Scrag Mountain Music is back better than ever with two events for the upcoming weekend.

Scrag Mountain Music is excited to present a program of music to celebrate the Divine Feminine through glorious medieval and contemporary healing chant. Scrag co-Artistic Directors Mary Bonhag (soprano) and Evan Premo (bass and viola da gamba) are joined by celebrated musician and sound healing practitioner Ruth Cunningham (voice, recorder, harp, and flute) on works by Hildegard of Bingen, Kathy Wonson Eddy, and others. There will be an opportunity for the audience to join in the singing as well! Concerts are "Come as you are, Pay what you can" with pay what you can tickets required.

Sounds of Transformation Workshop
Sat., Oct. 28 @ 2 - 3:30 pm I The Old Meeting House Parish House 1620 Center Rd., East Montpelier

Scrag Mountain Music presents Sound of Transformation, a workshop led by celebrated musician and sound healing practitioner Ruth Cunningham. At this workshop, Ruth will introduce practices of humming, toning, as well as singing chants and songs. Using the breath and voice helps to quiet the mind and open yourself for connection to spirit. All these tools can be used to create a daily sound practice to continue after the workshop. Participants will explore ways of experiencing music and how to use music and sound more effectively in daily life. In addition to sound the group makes together, Ruth will create meditative music using voice, medieval harp, and flute created specifically for the group of people gathered. This workshop is "Come as you are, Pay what you can" with pay what you can tickets required.
