Please join Edye Graning at Jericho Ale & Bean on Thursday, October 19 from 10:30am-noon for office hours. If you have any questions about what happened in the last session, or topics that you would like to put forward for the next session, this is a great opportunity to chat about them. If Thursday morning is not a good time for you, please reply to this post, or email Edye.Graning@gmail.com and set up another time to chat.
In addition, I wanted to make sure that everyone is aware that the Vermont Department of Health has contracted with a consultant to complete a Regional Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Coordination Study, culminating in a written report to be submitted to the State Legislature. The study will focus on identifying issues and provide recommendations for legislative considerations that will sustain and improve the provision of EMS in Vermont. This includes:
1) Issues related to costs of service, cost effectiveness of various current service models, and cost-effective alternative models.
2) Existing funding models and identify long-term sustainable funding strategies.
3) EMS district structure, authority, duties, and number of districts.
Your input is critical, and we invite you to share your thoughts and ideas on EMS. To submit written commentary, or to request to speak with the consultant, please visit www.emergencymm.net/vermontemsstudy, and scroll down to the feedback submission tool.
